Good morning from the office in Montichiari! It's Friday, the sun is shining, life is good. I just finished writing my guest post for a Belgium magazine. Writing for a magazine is a bit different from blogging, though. Here, I can write whatever I want, the way I want to. Not because of some sort of privilege, but because this blog is the digital version of me, and I prefer to write in a way I would talk to you. Easy, breezy, funny. I hate writing like a scholar. Not because it's difficult, but because it feels distant. Anyway, it's super exciting and I can't wait to get my hands on the printed version!
In my last post, I told you all ( but not everything ;) ) about the dress I was wearing for Valentines Dinner. But I didn't mention the real star of that evening, and that's my bag. Meet "Bella", non-leather and fabulous! Yes, I named my bag. I'm thàt connected with my "stuff". No, that's not being materialistic. It's caring for craftsmanship, design, and time that went into making this bag. It's not just a piece of material. It's a creation of not just one human. No need to obsess over it. But it should be respected, and cared for. Remember, a more sustainable fashion future is possible when you start with caring for the things you already have!
Fun fact - the last bag I'd purchased, before this one, was about 1,5 years ago. Which basically means I am a threat to the economy. A few more consumers like me, and Europe will fall back into a deep recession.
