Organic, winter remedies by URTEKRAM

TFI loves everything cruelty-free. After having experienced this nasty reaction I started to think more and more how harmful some ingredients can be.  In the end it is our own choice what we put on our face and body. We are free to choose whether we want to take a risk on that new extraordinary, overnight wrinkle reducing cream or try out an organic, natural serum that's just as good. The only difference: it's not endorsed by the highest paid supermodel of the season. But we knew that, so what is my point? The point is that we have a choice, animals don't. They don't pull a Katniss Everdeen on the next chemical, possibly toxic, project (if it was all safe, it would not have to be tested). They are forced to be an experimental object. That is so not okay. No matter how much I used to love some of the big, "elite", brands I have chosen to no longer invest my money in their production. Instead, I seek small companies with a true integrity and an appreciation for the planet and all of its inhabitants. Just like with any other beauty product on the market, some are good, some are not worth mentioning. These, by Urtekram, are definitely going into the "Love" pile!

Products

  • Aloe Vera & Green Tea Toothpaste is a serious winner. This one is truly effective! Who doesn't want shiny, white teeth?
  • Aloe Vera, Regenerating Shower Gel is mild to the skin, devine by scent and got that "a little goes a long way" attribute to it. Even though its main ingredient is aloe vera, it also contains sweet orange oil and lemon balm extract. This citric duo adds a reviving, fresh feel to the body wash.
  • Nettle, Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. Winter time. It's cold outside, but anywhere you enter the heat is on, literally. Warm and fuzzy for the soul and the body, not so healthy for the skin though. As you probably already know, heatings tend to dry out the air and thus your skin. So when the cold hits our country, dandruff hits our scalp. Let's all agree we prefer the flakes outside our homes. Back to the shampoo. It's infused with nettle and magnolia bark extracts, vitamin E and aloe vera. The perfect remedy for a sensitive, dried out scalp!
