The cruelty-free makeup remover

Cruelty-Free-makeup-remover.jpg

Cruelty-free makeup remover is not that hard to find once you have a list of brands that are certified and approved by The Leaping Bunny Program or PETA. Still, you can never trace back far enough to figure out if all of the ingredients are free of animal testing. I always remain a little sceptical. Besides respecting animal ethics, these 3 cruelty-free, natural formulas are extremely beneficial for your skin!  They consist of organic oils and can be used in isolation or mixed together. Some of these oils you probably already know. Did you also know that they promote hair growth and contain healing properties? To put it short: they are awesome!

But why are they a better alternative to any other cruelty-free makeup remover on the market?

  1. Extremely gentle. If you have a sensitive, allergy-prone skin like I do, this is the safest choice for you. All of the mentioned oils below have restorative agents.
  2. Promote hair growth and strength. After a long day with three layers of mascara, the last thing you want is to stress out your eyelashes even more. Using a natural mix of oils as a makeup remover will not only gently free your lashes from all that extra weight, it will also stimulate their recovery. They will become healthier and stronger. #Goals
  3. They will act as a hydrating eye lotion! After you have removed your eye makeup, you will feel like a little layer of oil is still left around your eyes. That's a good thing! Leave it there to hydrate and smooth your skin.

All of them are tested and loved by both me and my mum. We would never recommend something because it's a trend.

Coconut oil

Everyday pop out articles that yet again rediscover the use of coconut oil. Magical product! We love to use it as a makeup remover, though. It's gentle, hydrating and natural AF! And you only need a little, itsy, tiny scoop of it.

HOW TO - Warm it up using your ring fingers and apply to your eyes. Don't rub! Even the softest cotton pad is harsher to your eyes than your ring fingers. If you want to preserve the health of the skin around your eyes for a very long time, be extremely gentle with it. Then rinse with lukewarm water and remove the rest, gently, using an organic cotton pad. BENEFITS - Perfect for sensitive skin, promotes hair growth and prevents hair loss. Which is a total WIN for your lashes!

Argan oil + castor oil + avocado oil

Mix these three oils and you'll have yourself a luxurious, organic, rejuvenating potion.

HOW TO - Warm it up using your ring finger and apply to your eyes, massage gently, rinse with lukewarm water and remove the rest using an organic cotton pad. EXTRA BENEFITS - Healing function thanks to Argan Oil.

Jojoba oil + argan oil

Pronounced as ho-ho-ba.

HOW TO - Warm it up using your ring finger and apply to your eyes, massage gently, rinse with lukewarm water and remove the rest using an organic cotton pad. EXTRA BENEFITS - Anti-inflammatory thanks to Jojoba oil.
